Half-day Anti-corruption/Antitrust Executive Workshop
In 2020, Axiom developed and delivered a customized half-day Anti-corruption/Antitrust Workshop for senior executives of a US construction company. The workshop was highly interactive and made extensive use of audience response devices to keep workshop participants engaged.
Expert Review & Revision of On-line Training Courses
In 2019 and 2020, a global on-line compliance and ethics training provider retained Axiom to provide expert advice on several existing and newly developed courses related to the following subject matter:
- Product liability;
- The revised AdvaMed Code of Ethics for Interactions with US Healthcare Professionals;
- The MedTech Europe Code of Business Practice;
- The US Anti-kickback Statute, the US False Claims Act;
- The Stark Law;
- The Civil Monetary Penalties Law; and
- The Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act.

The firm also retained Axiom to perform a comprehensive legal review of its library of medical products courses and to provide quarterly updates regarding changes in the law and industry ethics standards.
Practicing Law Institute Presentations
On October 28th and 29th, 2019, Jim Nortz made presentations at the Practicing Law Institute’s Advanced Compliance and Ethics Workshop in New York City. The first presentation instructed attendees how to harness the power of the “Prime Integrity Metrics:” ethical culture strength and compliance management system reliability. In the second presentation, Jim provided attendees his insights into how to draft and deploy effective codes of conduct, deliver impactful compliance and ethics training programs and optimize compliance office communications to employees.

In February 2020, Jim Nortz conducted a lecture to MBA students about compliance and ethics programs and optimal corporate governance practices for business professionals.
